If a stranger approached you on the street and said he had a natural food that can add years to your life, strengthen your immune system and help you feel more positive and happy, what would you say?

It would probably be very skeptical! And I do not blame you. If you're like me, you've probably heard all before. You've heard all the overpriced and over-inflated claims, so it is likely to walk on past congratulate yourself that you had not fallen in another scam!

Well, I am that stranger and definitely do not want to walk in the past! I'm here to tell you the food that really exists and is available to you now. I am also here to tell you about health claims that are true and are backed by scientific research solid. Somewhat surprisingly, the product I am talking about is - Chocolate!

We tend to see chocolate as a tasty, but basically Healthy, sweet. We eat when we feel low, give our partners in the Valentine's Day, and have as a reward for something well. But there's always that sense of guilt after to have used - provided the sense that it really is not good for us.

And this is probably true! Most candy bars and chocolate the food is in the shops are high in refined white sugar, milk fats and hydrogenated oils of ingredients that replace the nutrients found naturally in dark chocolate.

Scientists are rediscovering what ancient Mayans and Aztecs knew for centuries - that chocolate can be very good for you. It may have been cultivated for over two thousand years, but it is only in the last five years, or we are really beginning to understand the truth behind of the health benefits of chocolate.

It seems that chocolate can be so close to being a complete food as we can - perhaps not surprising that the ancient Maya referred to as "food of the gods."

It is important to remember that what makes chocolate Healthy is the chocolate itself! More chocolate modern confectionery is so changed that destroys their natural goodness.
