Please tell me if dark chocolate chips (Tollhouse) have any milk in them? Moreover, this may be a silly question, but does "Hershey's Cocoa" has milk in it? And I want to make dark chocolate chip cookies and cakes for the occasional birthday and any suggestions would be great - Thanks!

Traditionally dark chocolate and cocoa powder does not contain milk, but you need to be vigilant and read the label! Some brand name manufacturers tend to add extra ingredients to their products. It should also be noted that chocolate manufacturers make all kinds of chocolates in their kitchens, so trace amounts of milk and nuts might be found in dark chocolate products. Again that information should be stated on the ingredients label.
In baking, when a recipe calls for butter - you can often substitute a vegetable oil, when it calls for milk, try soy milk instead.
