Which means regular chocolate, or chocolate for cooking?

I'm making truffles for Christmas. I've watched a couple of recipes and some recipes call for cooking chocolate, but some just say "milk chocolate", or "black chocolate. When they do just say "chocolate" is what mean cooking chocolate, regular chocolate or do they mean? I know the difference between chocolate and regular chocolate for cooking. Simply not going to want the wrong prescription:) Yes, its not cocoa. I suppose you also could be called "baking chocolate. Find in the supermarket bakery section, about mixtures cake, and food coloring, etc.

I've been baking and cooking for more years than I care to think about and I'm sure you know what "chocolate cooking is unless your talking about cocoa powder. Anyway, I made truffles before and I just used squares semi-sweet chocolate, such as the Baker brand. Any type solid chocolate can be used I'm sure. I think if its use is assumed that the cocoa powder would say that in the recipe.
