HELP ME! (kitchen)?

im making this cookie recipe on cake mix box. but I just found out that I have no chocolate chips! Can I use Hershey's bars instead? or just work sheets!? RECIPE: 1 package of black chocolate sweet moist deluxe cake mix 2 eggs 1 / 2 cup butter or margarine 1 / 4 cup firmly packed brown sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, chocolate bars are dark and slightly sweet

Yes, just slice up on cutting board and discard in not even have to use them,,, just more ooey, sticky good if you do.
