If you love chocolate, then chances are you among the millions of people who enjoy a good chocolate bar. Candy bars are made of a few basic ingredients, such as milk and sugar. And they are often coated with chocolate. You can select a white chocolate, milk chocolate or dark chocolate bar easily. There are hundreds of varieties of chocolate bars to choose from. Some are soft and others are crisp.
One of the most popular additions to chocolate bars are peanuts. Caramel is another favorite. Not many of us can resist a chocolate bar with caramel covered in chocolate. Nugget is popular, too. Coconut is not as favored, but still has a good following as an ingredient in Candy bars.
The candy bar was introduced in 1900 by Milton Hershey. And the Hershey Company has been selling millions chocolate bars every year, ever since. Many varieties have been introduced, but the Hershey chocolate bar is the most basic of their purchased, followed next by the chocolate with almonds bar.
The famous Hershey Kiss was introduced in 1907, with each individually chocolate piece wrapped in gold foil with a small paper tag with the name on the top. The Hershey Kiss chocolate is a popular favorite for Valentine's Day. They also make a variety of them for various holidays including a Peppermint Twist Kiss for Christmas. Other varieties of Hershey' s Kisses are full of caramel, chocolate filling, white chocolate, classic and the popular almonds in the center.
Another well known chocolate bar is the famous Babe Ruth. This is a nugget roll with smothered with peanuts and coated with chocolate. Many people believe this delicious candy bar was named after the famous baseball player the Sultan of Swat, Babe Ruth, but not so. It was actually the named for the daughter of President Grover Cleveland.
The Mounds bar and the Almond Joy bar were originally produced by the Peter Paul Candy Manufacturing Company, but are now manufactured under the Hershey band name. Each bar contains a creamy coconut center, but the Almond Joy also includes an almonds on top of the coconut which is them all covered in chocolate.
Candy bars are a favorite sweet love for many of us and we are blessed in an enormous selection of candy bars to choose from - many of which are available in miniature sizes.
